Job summary

MorePeople is recruiting a Multi-Skilled Engineer for a large-scale food manufacturing site in Lincolnshire (NG34). The role offers £58,000 per year on a 4 on 4 off days/nights pattern.

You will be hands-on across production equipment, reducing downtime and supporting the wider engineering team to improve reliability. The job involves fault-finding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus safe isolation and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-skilled maintenance on food manufacturing equipment.
• Experience with PLC and inverter-controlled equipment.
• Able to perform safe isolation and risk assessment.
• Strong focus on reliability and downtime reduction.

Responsibilities

• Electrical and mechanical fault-finding and breakdown response.
• Planned preventative maintenance and work orders.
• Working across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Root cause analysis and repeat failure reduction.
• Support production start-up and equipment availability.
• Safe isolation, risk assessment and safe systems of work.
• Support Lean, Asset Care and continuous improvement.
• Working closely with Production to resolve issues quickly.
• Accurate recording of maintenance activity through the site's CMMS.
