Job summary

MDCV UK Vineyards and Winery is seeking an enthusiastic Front of House Bartender to join a new high-end gastro pub opening soon. You will deliver outstanding hospitality, craft cocktails, upsell premium drinks, and work closely with host and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service in a premium setting.

Ideal candidates will have pub/bar experience, passion for food and drink, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience behind a bar in pub/ gastropub/ hotel or hospitality venue.
• Experience preparing and serving cocktails in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine passion for hospitality, food and drink.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with guests confidence.
• Positive, professional and team-focused attitude.
• Able to stay calm, organised and efficient during busy service.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards.
• Pride in personal presentation and professionalism.
• Flexible to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences through professional, engaging, knowledgeable service.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, coffees and soft drinks to high standards.
• Promote premium spirits, signature serves, cocktails and wine pairings via upselling.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation and presentation across bar and guest areas.
• Ensure pub and restaurant bars are stocked, organised and service-ready at all times.
• Support stock management: deliveries, stock rotation, stock takes and waste reduction.
• Work with host, floor and kitchen teams to deliver seamless service and consistent hospitality standards.
• Accurately process orders and payments using POS systems and procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure areas meet required standards.
• Ensure licensing, Challenge 25, health and safety standards are met and policies followed.
• Contribute ideas to improve service standards, drinks offer and guest experience.
