Job summary

MDCV UK Vineyards and Winery in Gravesham is seeking an experienced front of house Bartender to join a new high-end gastro pub opening soon. You will deliver professional hospitality, craft cocktails, and provide knowledgeable service to guests in a vibrant team environment.

You should have proven bar experience, a passion for drinks, strong communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting. The role offers evenings, weekends, and peak trading periods with opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• Bar experience in pubs, restaurants, gastropubs, hotels, or hospitality venues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional hospitality and memorable guest experiences with professional service.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, coffees, and soft drinks.
• Upsell premium spirits, signature serves, and wine pairings.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation across bar and guest areas.
• Ensure bars are stocked and service ready at all times.
• Assist with stock management, deliveries, rotation, and waste reduction.
• Collaborate with host, floor, and kitchen teams for seamless service.
• Process orders and payments using POS systems and company procedures.
• Assist opening and closing procedures and reset areas.
• Ensure licensing, Challenge 25, health and safety compliance.
• Contribute ideas to improve service and drinks offers.

Key responsibilities

• Delivering exceptional hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences through professional, engaging, and knowledgeable service.
• Preparing and serving cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, coffees, and soft drinks to consistently high standards.
• Promoting premium spirits, signature serves, cocktails, and wine pairings through natural and effective upselling.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation across all bar and guest-facing areas.
• Ensuring both the pub bar and restaurant bar are fully stocked, organised, and service ready at all times.
• Supporting stock management processes, including deliveries, stock rotation, stock takes, and waste reduction.
• Working closely with the host, floor, and kitchen teams to deliver seamless service and consistent hospitality standards.
• Accurately processing orders and payments using POS systems and company procedures.
• Assisting with opening and closing procedures and ensuring all areas are left to the required standard.
• Ensuring compliance with licensing legislation, Challenge 25 requirements, health and safety standards, and company policies.
• Contributing ideas and feedback to improve service standards, the drinks offer, and the overall guest experience.

• Previous experience working behind a bar within a pub, restaurant, gastropub, hotel, or hospitality venue.
