Job summary

A2Z Driving Service Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HIAB Driver (Class 1 & 2) to join our team. You will deliver and offload goods using a HIAB, conduct pre-trip checks, and maintain accurate delivery logs.

The role is full-time with a generous salary range (£34,000–£60,000 per year), with overtime opportunities and a Monday-to-Friday schedule. You will handle secure loads, liaise with dispatch, and represent the company on high-profile contracts.

Qualifications

• Must have HIAB/Lorry Loader experience and load-securement skills.
• Strong communication and accurate record-keeping are essential.
• Proven ability to work safely with heavy goods and on-site teams.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HGVs in line with traffic regulations.
• Deliver and offload goods using HIAB; ensure load security.
• Carry out pre-trip inspections and daily vehicle checks.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and liaise with dispatch.
• Secure loads on flatbeds using straps, ratchets and chains.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Safely operate HGVs in line with traffic regulations
• Deliver and offload goods using a HIAB, ensuring proper load security
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and pre-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and liaise with dispatch
• Proven experience securing loads on flatbed vehicles using straps, ratchets, and chains
• Skilled in operating Lorry Loaders/HIABs Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused Great communication and record-keeping skills
