Job summary

Manpower in Barry, South Wales is seeking a Class 2 Hiab Driver to join a safety-focused transport team. You will operate a Class 2 vehicle with a Hiab, complete deliveries and collections in the local area, and perform pre-use checks.

The role requires a valid UK Class 2 licence, a Digital Tachograph card, Hiab experience, and good knowledge of UK road regulations. This temporary position may be extended depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) licence and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience operating Hiab / lorry loader equipment with training/authorisation.
• Knowledge of UK road regulations and safe driving practices.
• Ability to secure loads correctly and work safely at height.
• Reliable timekeeping and customer-focused communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle with Hiab safely and efficiently.
• Carry out deliveries and collections in the local area.
• Perform pre-use vehicle checks and report defects promptly.
• Secure loads and observe lifting plans to minimise risk.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Communicate professionally with customers and site contacts.
• Keep the vehicle clean and report issues to transport team.
