Job summary

Manpower UK is recruiting a Class 2 Hiab Driver in Bridgend to join its driver pool across South Wales. The role covers ad hoc shifts, sickness cover and short- to long-term placements, with duties including safe Class 2 driving and Hiab loading/unloading.

The candidate must hold a UK Class 2 licence, Driver CPC and Hiab certification, with a solid knowledge of safe loading and transport law. Pay is negotiable based on experience and length of assignment.

Qualifications

• UK Class 2 driving licence valid in the UK.
• Driver CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Experience driving HGV Class 2 vehicles
• Hiab / crane operator certification or proven crane experience
• Strong knowledge of load securing and safe working practices
• Know-how on tachograph compliance
• Excellent communication with customers and site staff

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently in line with legislation and company procedures.
• Use the Hiab crane to load and unload goods safely and accurately.
• Complete vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness before departure.
• Secure loads correctly for safe transit.
• Follow delivery schedules and communicate with transport office and customers as required.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and tachograph compliance.
• Adhere to site rules and health and safety requirements at all times.
• Report defects, incidents or delays promptly.
