Job summary

Resourcing Group is seeking a dedicated HIAB Class 2 Driver for local deliveries in Southampton. You will perform multi-drop runs to building sites and homes, maintaining a friendly, professional customer-facing approach on every visit.

Working 8.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, with regular early starts and no night shifts. Overtime is available on alternate Saturdays. Training for HIAB/lorry loader can be provided.

Qualifications

• Class II LGV license is essential.
• HIAB/lorry loader certificate is preferable; training can be provided.
• Counter Balance Forklift license is preferable.
• Friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Good communication skills.
• High standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Multi drop deliveries of building materials to customers; both building sites and residential addresses
• If needed, help the yard team to load and unload lorries
• The customer is always the priority and will go the extra mile to do whatever it takes

Specialist Driver Resourcing are a dedicated company exclusively to the building materials handling sector, working with national and independent builders merchants, specialist suppliers, and logistics leads across the UK.

Our Client in Southampton are looking for a HIAB Class 2 Driver to join their team.

The Role:

The drivers are the face of our business and are on the frontline when it comes to customers. They're a friendly bunch, passionate about giving a great customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Multi drop deliveries of building materials to customers; both building sites and residential addresses
• If needed, help the yard team to load and unload lorries
• The customer is always the priority and will go the extra mile to do whatever it takes

Local deliveries. Regular hours. Time for life outside work.

As a local builders merchant, the deliveries are generally close to the branch, serving customers in the surrounding area.

Youll work 8.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, generally between 7am and 5pm - with your evenings free and no night shifts.

Want to earn a little extra? Theres also the opportunity for overtime every other Saturday morning, from 8am to 12pm.

What you need:

• Class II LGV license (essential)
• HIAB/lorry loader certificate (preferable) training can be provided.
• Counter Balance Forklift license (preferable - would be a distinct advantage)
