Job summary

GCS Associates is assisting a well-established builders merchant in Rugby to recruit a Class 2 HIAB delivery driver. The role involves delivering goods to sites, loading/unloading as required, and working across yard and warehouse operations.

The ideal candidate will hold a Class 2 LGV licence with a DQC, be a team player with a positive attitude, and demonstrate reliability and enthusiasm when engaging with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class 2 LGV licence (Category C).
• Must hold a Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
• Be a strong team player with a positive attitude.
• Be reliable, enthusiastic and able to engage with many people.

Responsibilities

• Provide efficient, timely and dependable delivery service.
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and safety procedures.
• Ensure vehicle and yard are kept clean, safe and well organised.

• Hours: Monday - Friday, 07:30-16:30 & Alt Sats 08:00-12:00

Our client is a well-respected builders merchant group . They are currently looking to recruit an experienced Class 2 HIAB Delivery Driver based out of their Rugby branch. This is a full time permanent position; the role includes:

• Providing an efficient, timely and dependable delivery service
• Carrying out appropriate vehicle checks on a routine basis
• Making sure you and your vehicle are always safe and secure
• Keeping your yard clean, tidy and well organised
• Working in the yard and warehouse
• Serving customers
• Supporting your team mates

You don't need to know about the products or the industry as full training will be provided; all you need is to:

• Have Class 2 (Category C) LGV Drivers licence
• Have a Driver Qualification Card (DQC)
• Be a big team player
• Have a really positive attitude
• Be reliable and enthusiastic
• Enjoy talking to lots of different people
