Job summary

Specialist Driver Resourcing are seeking a HIAB Class 2 Driver for a client in Southampton. You will perform local deliveries of building materials to sites and homes, support yard loading, and maintain high customer service standards. Working hours are typically 7am–5pm, Monday to Friday, with optional overtime on Saturdays mornings.

The role emphasizes a friendly, team-based environment with no night shifts and a focus on delivering excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Class II LGV license (essential).
• HIAB/lorry loader certificate (preferable; training can be provided).
• Counter Balance Forklift license (preferable).
• Friendly and professional manner, team player, strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Multi drop deliveries of building materials to customers (sites and residential addresses).
• Help the yard team to load and unload lorries if needed.
• Prioritize the customer and go the extra mile to ensure satisfaction.

Job description

Specialist Driver Resourcing are a dedicated company exclusively to the building materials handling sector, working with national and independent builders merchants, specialist suppliers, and logistics leads across the UK.

Our Client in Southampton are looking for a HIAB Class 2 Driver to join their team.

The Role:

The drivers are the face of our business and are on the frontline when it comes to customers. They're a friendly bunch, passionate about giving a great customer experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Multi drop deliveries of building materials to customers; both building sites and residential addresses
• If needed, help the yard team to load and unload lorries
• The customer is always the priority and will go the extra mile to do whatever it takes

Local deliveries. Regular hours. Time for life outside work.

As a local builders merchant, the deliveries are generally close to the branch, serving customers in the surrounding area.

Youll work 8.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, generally between 7am and 5pm - with your evenings free and no night shifts.

Want to earn a little extra? Theres also the opportunity for overtime every other Saturday morning, from 8am to 12pm.

What you need:

• Class II LGV license (essential)
• HIAB/lorry loader certificate (preferable) training can be provided.
• Counter Balance Forklift license (preferable - would be a distinct advantage)
