Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an HGV1 Night Trunk Driver to deliver palletised loads across the local region. You will open curtains for unloading and rely on an experienced transport team for support.

role starts immediately, Monday to Friday, 18:00 until finish, with temporary contract leading to permanent opportunities. Pay is £16.50 per hour, with pro rata holiday entitlement; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence is mandatory.
• Full UK CPC and Digital Tachograph card required.
• No more than 6 points on licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver palletised loads to customers in the local region.
• Open vehicle curtains to allow unloading by customers.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks before leaving the depot.

Job Description

HGV1 Night Trunking available immediately with weekly pay!
As a HGV1 Driver, you will be delivering palletised loads to customers throughout the local region. There is no handball involved, as customers will unload the vehicle using their own equipment. Your role will simply involve opening the vehicle curtains to allow unloading to take place.

Before leaving the depot each day, you will complete routine vehicle safety checks and ensure all relevant delivery paperwork is completed accurately. This is straightforward trunking and delivery work with the support of an experienced and friendly transport team.

Duration: Temporary but definite permanent opportunities

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: You’ll earn £16.50 per hour.You have a holiday entitlement of up to 28 days (pro rata).Please note, visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Working Hours: This role starts immediately. You will be working on Monday to Friday and the hours will be 18:00-finish

Experience & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have held your licence for a minimum of 1 year, with at least 180 days of commercial driving experience.
