Job summary

Müller UK & Ireland is seeking experienced Terberg shunter drivers for our Glasgow depot (G32 8EY). This permanent, yard-based role offers enhanced overtime and weekend premiums, with a base rate of £17.30 per hour plus a £20 weekly shunter supplement.

Role involves coordinating movements, safety checks, and maintaining high safety/compliance standards. Full-time, night shifts, monthly pay, no overnight stays.

Qualifications

• Terberg experience is essential.
• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence essential.
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• No more than 6 minor points on driving licence; no CDs, DDs, DRs or INs.
• Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable and positive approach to work.
• Comfort with the physical demands of the role.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate onsite bay and trailer movements using Terberg equipment.
• Carry out driver, vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Ensure vehicles/trailers meet safety and compliance standards.
• Report defects and arrange repairs or maintenance.
• Identify and manage potential workplace and safety risks.
• Collaborate with depot team to keep operations moving.

We're recruiting experienced Terberg Shunter Drivers to join our Müller Milk & Ingredients Distribution team at our Glasgow Depot (G32 8EY).

This is a permanent, yard-based role with no overnight stays, offering enhanced rates for overtime and weekend working.

The role at a glance

• Location: Glasgow, G32 8EY
• Contract: Permanent, Full Time
• Basic rate: £17.30 per hour
• Shunter supplement: £20 per week
• Overtime: £19.46 per hour for hours worked over contracted hours
• Saturday: £21.92 per hour
• Sunday: £28.42 per hour
• No overnight stays
• Monthly pay

What you'll be doing

Working within our busy Glasgow yard, you'll play an important part in keeping vehicle and trailer movements running safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating onsite bay and trailer movements using Terberg equipment
• Carrying out driver, vehicle and trailer safety checks
• Ensuring vehicles and trailers meet the required safety and compliance standards
• Reporting defects and arranging vehicles or trailers into the workshop where repairs or maintenance are required
• Identifying and managing potential workplace and safety risks
• Working closely with the wider depot team to keep operations moving

What we're looking for

You'll need:

• Previous Terberg experience - essential
• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence - essential
• Current Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 minor points on your driving licence, with no CDs, DDs, DRs or INs
• A strong approach to safety and compliance
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A reliable and positive approach to work
• To be comfortable with the physical requirements of the role
