Job summary

Ceredigion County Council in Aberystwyth is recruiting Relief Environmental Operatives 3 to join the Waste Collection Service at Glanyrafon Depot.

You will perform frontline collections of recycling, food waste, residual waste and glass, with the possibility to work with Street Cleansing and Ground Maintenance as needed. This role requires physical work and teamwork, with opportunities to contribute to wider Local Environmental Services tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience of physical/manual work.
• Experience of working in a team environment.
• Experience of lone working.
• Experience of driving HGVs (Heavy Goods Vehicles).

Responsibilities

• Drive Refuse Collection Vehicles.
• Load refuse and recycling materials onto vehicles as required.
• Emptying litter bins.
• Assist with works in the wider Local Environmental Services team.
• Undertaking physical activities that include lifting, sweeping, stretching and bending.
