Duties include inspections, servicing, diagnosing faults, and carrying out repairs to mechanical, electrical, braking, and suspension systems while adhering to DVSA standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Trailer Mechanic, HGV Technician, or similar heavy vehicle role.
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle qualification or equivalent time-served experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, braking, and suspension systems.
• Familiarity with DVSA standards and vehicle safety regulations.
• IRTEC certification is desirable or willingness to attain it.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance on HGV trailers and trucks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, braking, and suspension faults.
• Perform repairs to vehicle systems, including brakes, suspension, electrical, and bodywork.
• Replace and adjust vehicle components to maintain safety and compliance standards.
• Ensure all work adheres to DVSA regulations and safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve operational efficiency.
