Job summary

Recruitment Helpline is seeking an experienced HGV/Trailer Technician in Cardiff for a permanent, full-time role.

The position covers vehicle inspections, MOT prep, welding, diagnostics, and maintaining high safety standards in a modern workshop with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Time-served technician essential.
• HGV licence preferred (not essential).
• Experience with tail lifts and double-deck trailers preferred (training available).
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent ideal.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with HGVs / plant / trailers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle inspections and repairs.
• MOT preparation and testing.
• Welding and fabrication.
• Diagnostic work.
• Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
• Working efficiently under pressure as part of a team.
• Completing job records accurately and on time.
• Adhering to health & safety and company policies.

Job description

An excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV/ Trailer Technician to join a well-established company!

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Salary: Up to £21.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience with plenty of overtime on offer (Overtime paid at time and half & double time)

Location: Cardiff.

Shift pattern: 06:00-14:00 10:00-18:00 (Saturday mornings every other week)

The company provides workshop and mobile assistance to heavy good vehicles including trucks and trailers. With more than 19 years of experience in the industry, they are looking to bring on board new technicians who are looking for fresh challenge.
