Job summary

STOCKPORT TRUCK CENTRE LIMITED in the North West is seeking skilled HGV Technicians to join our busy workshops. You will perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and Trailers, using the latest diagnostic tools to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

We value a proactive attitude, strong mechanical and diagnostic skills, and attention to detail. A Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable, and IRTEC accreditation is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Experience on HGVs and Trailers in a workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• IRTEC accreditation is a bonus but not required.
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

We’re on the lookout for skilled and motivated HGV Technicians to join our busy and well-equipped workshops across the North West. If you’ve got a passion for keeping heavy goods vehicles running safely and smoothly, we want to hear from you!

Duties

• Routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and Trailers.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults using the latest diagnostic tools.
• Completing inspections in line with DVSA standards.
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Working efficiently as part of a supportive workshop team.

Required Certification & Experience

• Level 3 qualification inHGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working on HGVs and Trailers in a workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and attention to detail.
• HGV Class 1 or 2 licence (desirable but not essential).
• IRTEC accreditation (bonus but not required).

Hours

Rotating shift pattern – 06:00 to 18:00 Monday – Thursday and Tuesday – Friday – alternate weekends as required

Salary

Dependent on Experience
