Job summary

STOCKPORT TRUCK CENTRE LIMITED is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to maintain and repair heavy goods vehicles across our North West workshops. You will inspect, service, and repair vehicles to the highest standards and work within a professional, supportive team.

The role requires a Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) and strong mechanical/diagnostic abilities. Experience with HGVs/Trailers and DVSA-style inspections is valued.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in HGV Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working on HGVs and Trailers in a workshop environment.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
• A proactive, can-do attitude and attention to detail.
• IRTEC accreditation (bonus but not required).

Responsibilities

• Routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and Trailers.
• Diagnosing and resolving faults using the latest diagnostic tools.
• Completing inspections in line with DVSA standards.
• Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
• Working efficiently as part of a supportive workshop team.

Duties

As an HGV Technician, you'll play a key role in inspecting, servicing, and repairing our customers heavy goods vehicles to the highest standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, professional team where your expertise will be valued and rewarded.

Hours

Rotating shift pattern – 06:00 – 18:00 Monday – Thursday and Tuesday – Friday – alternate weekends as required

Dependent on Experience
