Volvo Group is seeking skilled HGV Technicians to join our growing team. This role offers a clear career path with world‑class training and development while working with Volvo Group’s leading brands.

You will perform maintenance and repair on Volvo HGVs, participate in training programs (E‑Mobility, Volvo Bronze to Gold levels) and benefit from a generous pension plan, health cover, and 30 days holiday after service.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience on HGVs or completed apprenticeship in HGV industry.
• Willing to undergo Volvo training and development.

Responsabilités

• Carry out service, maintenance and repair on Volvo HGVs to high standards.
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults with modern diagnostic equipment.
• Perform safety inspections, MOT prep and routine maintenance.
• Ensure work is done efficiently, safely and per manufacturer standards.
• Support development of trainees and apprentices.

Salary up to £20 per hour dependent upon skill set & experience

Covering a rotating shift:

Monday to Friday 0600hrs to 1400hrs/1400hrs to 2200hrs

Alternative Saturday morning overtime, time & half

Who are you

Do you hold a Level 2 or 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenanceand have previous experience working on HGV’s or have you completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry and enjoy getting your hands dirty?

We welcome applications from professionals with experience across heavy vehicle maintenance and repair. If you have previously worked as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic, Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic, or Commercial Vehicle Technician, your skills are highly relevant to this role. We also value transferable expertise from allied industries; candidates with backgrounds as a PSV Technician, PCV Mechanic, Bus and Coach Technician, or a Heavy Plant Mechanic / Plant Technician are strongly encouraged to apply, as full product training on our modern fleet will be provided

What you will be doing?

• Carry out service, maintenance, and repair work on Volvo HGVs to the highest standards.
• Diagnose and rectify vehicle faults using modern diagnostic equipment.
• Perform safety inspections, MOT preparations, and routine maintenance.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with manufacturer standards.
• Wear personal protective equipment when appropriate
• Support the development of young trainees and apprentices
