Job summary

Renault Trucks is seeking an experienced HGV Technician Supervisor for a late shift in Felixstowe. You will supervise shift technicians, coordinate workload and diagnose/repair vehicles, ensuring servicing to a high standard.

The role includes occasional call-outs, using diagnostic equipment, and completing accurate job cards. A C&G or NVQ3 Vehicle Technician qualification and strong electrical, diagnostic and mechanical skills are essential, along with a good understanding of workshop HS

Qualifications

• Must hold a C&G or NVQ3 Vehicle Technician qualification.
• Strong electrical, diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Good understanding of workshop health & safety issues.
• Clean driving licence (HGV would be advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift technicians and coordinate workload.
• Liaise with the Dealerpoint Manager regarding shift staffing, training needs and KPIs.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles and service to a high standard.
• Participate in call-outs and breakdown rota if required.
• Use diagnostic equipment to fault-find and repair.
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report rectifications.
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately.

What You Will Do

HGV Technician Supervisor Late Shift

Hours

40 hours 15.30 to midnight with a 30 min break with alternate Saturday's paid at time and a half

Paying up to £27.50 pr for a 40 hour basic week,(£57,200) and with alternate Saturday's (£5300) you can earn c£60,500

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

• Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
• Liaise with the Dealerpoint Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI's etc
• Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
• Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
• Participation in call out and breakdown rota - if/when required
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately

Essential Qualifications And Knowledge

• C&G or NVQ3 Vehicle Technician qualification
• Excellent electrical, diagnostic and mechanical skills
• Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
• Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage
