Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician on an evening shift in Thurrock, UK. You will supervise shift technicians, coordinate workloads, diagnose and repair vehicles, and ensure high standards of servicing.

A strong background in electrical, diagnostic and mechanical work is essential. Applicants should hold C&G or NVQ3 in Heavy Vehicle Technology, with HS awareness and a clean driving licence (HGV advantageous).

Qualifications

• C&G or NVQ3 Heavy Vehicle Technician qualification.
• Excellent electrical, diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment.
• Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage.
• 25 days rising with service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload.
• Liaise with the Dealerpoint Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI's etc
• Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
• Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately

What you will do

Hours:

45 hours 06.00 - 13.30 | 13.00 - 22.00 with a 30 min break with alternate Saturday's paid at time and a half

Paying between £25.00 and £26. 85 pr hr and with alternate Saturday'spaid at time and a half

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
