Job summary

Renault Trucks in Felixstowe is looking for a HGV Technician to supervise a late shift, oversee technicians and coordinate workload. The role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicles, servicing to a high standard, and participating in call-out duties when required.

The ideal candidate holds a C&G or NVQ3Vehicle Technician qualification with strong electrical and mechanical skills and a good grasp of workshop safety. A clean driving licence, with HGV as a plus, is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have electrical, diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Good understanding of health & safety in a workshop.
• Clean driving licence – HGV would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift technicians and coordinate workload.
• Liaise with the Dealerpoint Manager regarding shift staff and training needs.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Service vehicles to a high standard.
• Participate in call out and breakdown rota when required.
• Operate diagnostic equipment.
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report rectifications.
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately.
