Job summary

James Lewis Recruitment is seeking an HGV Technician Supervisor for the late shift at a leading truck dealership in Felixstowe. You will supervise the shift technicians, coordinate the workload, and stay hands on with diagnosis and repair.

The role runs 40 hours on a 15:30– midnight shift, with alternate Saturdays paid at time and a half. Benefits include pension, healthcare, 25 days holiday, and cycle-to-work options. HGV experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• C&G or NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification.
• Excellent electrical, diagnostic and mechanical skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety in a workshop.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the shift technicians and coordinate workload.
• Liaise with your Manager on shift staffing, training needs and KPIs.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles.
• Service vehicles to a high standard.
• Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications needed.
• Use diagnostic equipment.
• Complete job cards clearly and accurately.
• Take part in the call out and breakdown rota if and when required.

Salary

Up to £27.50 per hour: £57,200 basic for a 40 hour week, c.£60,500 with alternate Saturdays

Hours

40 hours, 15:30 to midnight, with a 30 minute break. Alternate Saturdays paid at time and a half.

What you need

• Clean driving licence (HGV is an advantage)
