Job summary

Join our Inverness team with a great work/life balance covering 4 nights. We offer a £1,000 signing bonus after 6 months, salary range 45k–70k, and a range of employee benefits including pension, health plan, and life insurance.

We are seeking a qualified HGV technician with Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, with hands-on workshop experience and leadership abilities. Role involves repairs to Volvo vehicle standards, fault diagnosis, service administration, road testing if

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV technician with Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.
• Experience on HGVs or completed an apprenticeship in the HGV industry.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with coaching ability.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to a high standard according to Volvo procedures, safely and responsibly.
• Assist in the fault diagnosis process.
• Service customer vehicles and complete service sheets.
• Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
• Assist with roadside breakdowns.
• Process all relevant paperwork relating to jobs accurately.
• Ensure all vehicle defects are reported and workshop facilities, equipment, and tools are kept clean and well-maintained.
• Help develop trainees and apprentices.

Who are you?

• Qualified HGV Technician holds NVQ! Level 3 in HGV - apprenticeship or City & Guilds, with proven hands-on workshop experience.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to inspire and coach others.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Organised and proactive approach, with a strong focus on customer service.
• Flexible team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

What will you do
