Job summary

Tru Talent is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy workshop in Kidderminster. You will service, maintain and repair Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles in a professional setting.

The role offers a Monday–Friday late shift (12:30pm–10:00pm) with overtime paid at 1.5x and no weekend work, plus manufacturer training and long-term career prospects. Basic salary £52 with OTE £55+.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an HGV Technician or similar role in commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and technical faults.
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance.
• Completing inspections and identifying worn or faulty components.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and to DVSA standards.
• Using vehicle diagnostic equipment and workshop management systems.
• Completing job cards, service records and relevant documentation.
• Working as part of a skilled workshop team to keep vehicles on the road.
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety within the workshop.
