Job summary

Estella Group Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a Grantham site. You will inspect, service and repair heavy vehicles, diagnose faults and prepare vehicles for MOT, while liaising with parts suppliers and ensuring safety on site.

The role requires a City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 qualification (or proven experience), a valid driving license, and the ability to work under pressure within a team. There is overtime and a pension, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ level 3) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles.

Responsibilities

HGV Technician opportunity

My client a well-established and rapidly expanding fleet maintenance company with depots across the UK and are actively seeking to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technician for their site in GRANTHAM

What you’ll do in the position

• Carry out planned inspection, service, maintenance and repair of all types of vehicles and trailers in line with current regulatory guidance.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Possess a working knowledge of fault diagnostic equipment.
• MOT preparation.
• Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises.
• Liaise with parts suppliers to attain parts.
• Ensure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to.
• Conform to all customer site requirements & regulations.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.
• Maintain thorough and current product knowledge and attend training courses.

What you’ll need
