Dennis Eagle is seeking a proactive HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team in Bexley. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest safety and reliability standards.

The ideal candidate has NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance, proven repair experience, strong fault-finding skills, and the ability to work independently at customer sites. Overtime and travel are expected; IRTEC qualification or HGV 2 licence is a bonus.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance.
• Proven experience in commercial vehicle repair and servicing.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Understanding of electronics, hydraulics, and wiring diagrams.

Aufgaben

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment.
• Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections.
• Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications.
• Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems.
• Liaise professionally with customers and work independently at customer sites.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures and conduct risk assessments where required.
• Undertake training to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Role: HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic

Location: Bexley, DA1 5QJ

Hours: 45 hours per week | between 12:00 and 00:00 Monday to Thursday

Salary: between £47,333.52 - £53,660.88pa DOE

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HGV Technician to join our Aftermarket team!

This hands-on role involves maintaining and repairing refuse collection vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on chassis and mounted equipment
• Service vehicles to VOSA standards and prepare them for MOT inspections
• Complete body and chassis repairs and ensure compliance with Department of Transport specifications
• Maintain accurate records and enter job details into company systems
