Job summary

Veolia is seeking a HGV Technician in Totton to perform routine maintenance and repairs on refuse collection vehicles and light commercials. You will diagnose faults in a well-equipped workshop and ensure safety and proper parts are used for each job.

Qualifications

• High level of technical knowledge in mechanical repair.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs on vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and repairs on RCVs and light commercials.
• Diagnose and rectify faults in a well-equipped workshop.
• Ensure safe handling and adherence to health and safety when working on vehicles.
• Liaise with Workshop Manager to obtain correct parts.
• Complete job cards and service sheets promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the workshop.
• Keep product knowledge current and attend training courses.
