Job summary

Veolia is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to repair and maintain a fleet of heavy goods vehicles from our Solihull workshop. You will perform inspections, PPMs, fault finding, and repairs, including hydraulic and electrical work, with some off-site breakdowns.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics and a strong safety mindset. Desirable qualifications include IRTE, HGV licence, and related qualifications. Training and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 3 in HGV Motor Mechanics and relevant experience.
• Good awareness of safe working practices/Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a fleet of HGVs and trailers in the vehicle maintenance workshop.
• Carry out PPM and/or fault finding on HGV/LGV units and trailers.
• Carry out inspections, repairs, brake testing and fault-finding on various trailers and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Attend off-site breakdowns and perform welding/fabricating where required.
