Job summary

First Military Recruitment is currently seeking an HGV Technician in Hull on behalf of our client. The role involves inspecting, repairing and maintaining heavy goods vehicles and trailers, with on-site duties and emergency road-side repair capabilities.

Qualifications

• Level 3 (NVQ or City and Guilds or IMI) in HGV Vehicle Repair and maintenance.
• Ability to identify worn and faulty components per DVSA standards.
• UK driving license for relevant vehicle classes.

Responsibilities

• Perform major and minor repairs to heavy goods vehicles, trailers and other vehicles.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance (tyres, oil changes).
• Maintain workshop inventory and cleanliness; document repairs and warranty claims.
