Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to maintain and repair a diverse fleet across the UK. You will diagnose faults, perform inspections and timely repairs to ensure vehicles stay safe and available for operational duties.

The role requires hands-on workshop work, occasional roadside callouts, and a commitment to safety. NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification is preferred; a full HGV licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification preferred.
• Experience as a Mechanical Fitter/Technician.
• HGV driving licence desirable.
• Ability to work with diverse vehicle types and adapt to maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Keep HGVs safely on the road so operatives can carry out their duties.
• Carry out routine body inspections, defect repairs and fault finding to ensure fleet reliability and safety.
• Secure and store workshop tools and welding equipment; switch off power when not in use.
• Attend roadside breakdowns when required and work as part of a team.
