Job summary
Veolia is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to maintain and repair the Veolia Fleet across the UK. Your role includes diagnostics and repairs on hydraulics, electrics and pneumatics, plus MOT inspections with training available.
Typical hours are 40 per week, Mon-Fri, with enhanced London weighting and overtime opportunities. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including pension, ongoing training, volunteering days, and support for achieving an HGV licence, plus a £3,000
Qualifications
- Experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician or similar role.
- HGV driving licence preferred.
- Own comprehensive toolkit required (diagnostic equipment provided by Veolia).
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain the Veolia Fleet, 3rd party vehicles and plant to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Run diagnostics on vehicles using a range of equipment.
- Repair hydraulics, electrics, pneumatics and related systems.
- Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations; training provided if needed.
- Complete roadside repairs when necessary (training provided).
- Work within Health & Safety regulations and ensure safety of self and others.
- Complete time sheets and paperwork accurately.
