Job summary

United Utilities in Widnes is seeking a qualified Fleet/HGV Technician with an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair to join our Transport Services team. You’ll contribute to servicing, repairs, diagnostics and MOT prep for around 2,300 assets in a busy workshop, with a Monday to Friday pattern.

The role requires a safety-conscious, detail-focused professional with experience on HGVs and fleet vehicles, capable of fault finding, working independently or with a team, and delivering

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• IRTEC Vehicle Inspection Technician accreditation or the ability to obtain it.
• Significant experience maintaining HGVs, tankers, light vans and plant equipment.

Responsibilities

• Service, repair, diagnostics and MOT preparation for fleet assets.
• Maintain fleet safety, reliability and compliance in a busy workshop.
• Identify faults and deliver high-quality workmanship while working in a team.
