Job summary

UNITED UTILITIES GROUP PLC in Widnes, Cheshire, is seeking a qualified HGV Technician to service and repair a large commercial fleet. You’ll work Monday to Friday in a busy workshop, performing servicing, fault finding and MOT preparation to keep our assets safe, reliable and compliant.

You’ll bring NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent) and experience on HGVs, with a focus on safety, quality workmanship and teamwork to mentor apprentices and maintain our high standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Experience maintaining HGVs, trailers and plant equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Commitment to health and safety in workshop.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairs, diagnostics and HGV MOT preparation work.
• Maintain and support the fleet to keep vehicles safe, compliant and available.
• Diagnose faults and rectify faults efficiently to minimise downtime.
• Support a safe, productive workshop and mentor apprentices.
