Job summary
United Utilities is seeking a Fleet Technician or HGV Mechanic to join a skilled fleet team. You will be responsible for the upkeep of a wide range of vehicles and electrical/electronic systems, conducting inspections and executing repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
This role offers Monday to Friday hours with no regular weekend shifts, a competitive salary (£52,192.97), generous annual leave, strong pension and extra benefits including private healthcare, an EV car scheme, training
Qualifications
- City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Maintenance (or equivalent)
- Experience with diagnostic equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Knowledge of transport and health & safety regulations
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to train for a Class 1 HGV licence
Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Execute both standard and complex repairs
- Develop proactive maintenance plans to reduce downtime
- Contribute to the efficiency and lifecycle management of the fleet
