Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a qualified Fleet/HGV Technician for our Blackburn workshop. You will service, repair, diagnose and prepare vehicles for MOT, ensuring safety, compliance and high workshop productivity.

You will work a Monday to Friday pattern in a busy transport service team, supporting approximately 2,300 company assets including around 300 HGVs, and mentoring apprentices as needed.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• IRTEC accreditation or ability to obtain it.
• Experience maintaining HGVs and commercial fleet vehicles.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostics skills.
• Committed to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and diagnostics on HGVs and fleet vehicles.
• Prepare vehicles for HGV MOT testing.
• Support workshop operations and maintain safety standards.

Skills

NVQ Level 3 in HGV Vehicle Repair &amp
