Job summary

Arnold Clark is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to inspect and repair vehicles in line with DVSA requirements. You will work independently and as part of a team, holding a Category C+E licence and an HGV Level 3 qualification. Expect comprehensive training and opportunities for salary growth.

Role includes full-time hours, overtime paid, and benefits such as private healthcare and generous leave. Training to become EV-accredited is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV Level 3 automotive qualification.
• Must hold Category C+E driving licence.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet DVSA standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out periodic safety inspections of HGVs to DVSA standards.
• Diagnose faults on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Attend broken down or accident-damaged vehicles and repair as required.
• Fit and remove a wide range of ancillary equipment and livery.
• Complete paperwork accurately and update internal systems.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
