Job summary

Arnold Clark Group is seeking a skilled mechanic to prepare vehicles for the road, performing servicing and repairs with precision. You will work within a capable team at the Aberdeen Prep Centre, advancing your skills with access to the latest vehicle technology.

You will complete servicing, diagnostics, and repairs to high standards, with DVSA testing available if authorised. The role offers flexible hours and generous leave, with overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3 and relevant automotive experience.
• Ability to work confidently on your own or in a busy team.
• Strong communication skills with attention to detail.
• Proactive and enthusiastic approach with deadlines in mind.
• Ability to follow written and spoken instructions accurately.
• Full driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance to high standards.
• Inspect engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues using diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace defective parts as needed.
• Perform DVSA vehicle testing where authorised.
• Road test vehicles to verify repairs.
• Maintain equipment and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Follow checklists and complete documentation to required standard.
