Job summary

CityJobs.com is seeking an HGV Technician in Croydon. This full-time role offers a clear career path with world-class training and development opportunities. Shifts run 6:00 am–2:30 pm and 2:30 pm–11:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime on weekends and double time on Sundays.

Responsibilities include safe repairs, fault diagnosis, and collaboration with the Parts Team. Must hold NVQ3/City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and be a fully qualified HGV Technician with UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
• Fully qualified HGV Technician with relevant certifications.
• Strong mechanical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs safely according to manufacturer procedures and standards.
• Assist fault diagnosis and support roadside breakdowns as required.
• Work with Parts Team and workshop controllers to ensure correct maintenance.
• Road test vehicles when needed and ensure accurate reporting on job cards.
• Maintain clean, safe workshop and adhere to PPE requirements.
• Support development of trainees and apprentices.
