Job summary

Babcock International in the United Kingdom is seeking an HGV Technician to service, diagnose and repair heavy goods vehicles to keep operations safe, compliant and reliable.

You will join a highly skilled workshop team, carrying out servicing, component replacement and maintenance records, while working to BPSS clearance and contributing to national security. The role is onsite at Ruislip, near Uxbridge, with a base salary plus allowances.

Qualifications

• Experience in servicing and repairing HGV vehicles.
• Knowledge of HGV maintenance requirements and specifications.
• Ability to work to high safety and quality standards.
• BPSS security clearance is a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and identify repairs on HGV vehicles.
• Service, maintain and repair vehicles to keep them safe and operational.
• Replace components and order parts as needed.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and service documentation.
• Work safely in a high‑quality workshop to meet standards.
• Demonstrate strong fault diagnosis and problem‑solving abilities.
