Job summary

Zenith is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to service, maintain and repair a mixed fleet of trucks and trailers at our Barnsley site on day shifts. The role includes MOT prep, fault diagnosis, and meticulous record-keeping.

You will work in a clean, well-equipped environment with a focus on Right First Time. We offer a competitive salary up to £48,880 with overtime opportunities, 20 days holiday plus your birthday off, pension, life assurance, and additional benefits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV Repair & Maintenance.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience working with HGV (both Trucks & Trailers).
• Full, valid driving licence.
• Basic IT skills are beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Motivated, with a keen eye for detail and an ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service, maintenance, and repair on HGVs, trucks, and trailers.
• Carry out inspections and complete MOT prep and presentation.
• Diagnose faults and efficiently rectify issues.
• Maintain accurate records, including job cards and service sheets, using online systems.
• Prioritise tasks to ensure quality service without sacrificing efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard with a focus on “Right First Time.”
