Job summary

Venatu Consulting Ltd in Barnsley is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to join our team. This is a Monday-to-Friday role with a rotating shift pattern and a competitive salary between £46,467 and £54,500 per annum.

You will service, maintain and repair a diverse fleet of commercial vehicles and plant, with opportunities to work on trailers and units across varying environments. Overtime is available at 1.5x and there is job stability within a varied fleet.

Qualifications

Experience working on HGVs or similar commercial vehicles.
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
Deliver high-quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and in a team.
Reliable and safety-conscious in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

Servicing, maintenance, inspection and repair of a varied fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Work across HGV units, trailers and plant.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.
Carry out routine servicing and inspections.
Complete repairs efficiently to a high standard.
Perform safety inspections and defect rectification.
Work on braking, suspension, steering and other systems.
Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
