Kautec Recruitment Ltd is seeking a qualified HGV Technician for a workshop role in the Corby area. The position offers 40 hours per week with night shifts and a permanent, full-time contract. Salary starts at £23 per hour.

Qualified applicants will inspect, service, repair, and maintain a mixed fleet including tractors and trailers, with DVSA-aligned MOT prep and periodic servicing.

Competenze

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• IRTEC or EV qualification would be desirable.
• HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) would be advantageous.

Mansioni

• Carry out inspections on a varied fleet, including tractor and trailer units.
• MOT preparation and DVSA standard servicing.
• Inspect and correct running defects; electrical/wiring inspections.

We are looking for qualified and time served HGV Technicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle repair and maintenance for a workshop in the Corby area.

The HGV Technician role:

• You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet, Tractor and Trailer units, service, repair and maintenance, the majority will be tractor unit but the trailer work would be specialised.
• MOT preparationScheduled servicing to DVSA standards6 (or 8) weekly inspectionsCorrection of running defectsElectrical and wiring inspections and corrections

Requirements for this HGV Technician role:

• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC or an EV qualification would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
