Job summary

Logical Personnel Solutions is recruiting an experienced HGV & Trailer Technician to join a busy workshop in the West Midlands. This full-time, permanent role offers stable employment, modern facilities and overtime opportunities.

Carry out servicing and repairs on HGVs and trailers, perform inspections, fault finding and ensure compliance with industry standards. A Full UK Driving Licence and relevant heavy-vehicle qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous experience working on HGVs and trailers.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance checks.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults.
• Prepare vehicles and trailers for annual testing requirements.
• Complete all job cards and maintenance records accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with company and industry standards.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.

Salary: £44,000 - £58,000 per hour (DOE)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Shift Options

• 4 on / 4 off Days/Nights: 06:00 - 18:00
• Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 17:00

Our client is a well-established commercial vehicle maintenance business operating across the North West. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit experienced HGV & Trailer Technicians to join their workshop team.

Candidate Requirements

Essential

Desirable

• LGV/HGV Licence.
• IRTEC accreditation.
• Experience with a variety of commercial vehicle manufacturers.
