Job summary

RGS Global is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for their Welwyn Garden City workshop. You will service and repair Cars, LGV and HGVs, ensuring safety, accuracy and high workmanship standards in a small workshop team.

The role emphasises fault diagnosis, thorough safety inspections, and clear documentation, with occasional driving duties. Working four days per week, you benefit from a guaranteed £200 for the first three months and potential £2,500 OTE bonus.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in repairing Car/LGV and HGVs to industry standards.
• Thorough understanding of servicing and repair techniques gained through training and practice.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair cars, LGV and HGVs with emphasis on safety and workmanship.
• Diagnose faults using equipment and recognised test procedures.
• Carry out safety inspections on vehicles and document results clearly.
• Maintain accurate job-related documentation for every job.
• Perform driving duties as required within workshop activities.

My client, a forward thinking and customer focused vehicle management business, is looking for an experienced HGV Technician to work within a small team based from their workshop in Welwyn Garden City.

The main purpose of the role is to undertake service and repair work on cars, LGV AND HGVs in a safe and efficient manner achieving the highest possible standards of workmanship.

To accurately undertake servicing and repairs of vehicles, whilst detecting and diagnosing any additional faults, ensuring that all work is completed safely and to customers complete satisfaction.

To work effectively within the Workshop team to ensure industry-leading standards of vehicle servicing/repair and customer care satisfaction at all times.

Driving duties as and when required.

To diagnose faults and test vehicles utilising equipment available, using recognised test procedures and techniques.

To ensure all job-related documentation is clear and concise.

Carry out and document vehicle safety Inspections on cars, LGV, HGVs and ancillary

equipment.
