Job summary

Detail 2 Limited in Warrington is seeking a qualified HGV/LCV Technician for a permanent days role in our busy workshop. You will perform routine servicing, MOT preparation and repairs on HGVs and commercials, and you’ll work Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:30 and Friday 08:00-17:00, with overtime opportunities and a strong bonus track record.

• Strong attention to detail and timekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance inspections and MOT preparation on HGVs and commercials.
• Carrying out scheduled repair, maintenance, servicing and inspection work to manufacturer and DVSA standards.
• Completing MOT preparations.
• Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment and manual checks.
• Ensuring health & safety and DVSA compliance.

HGV/LCV Technician (Days) - Warrington - £43,966 (£19.00 p/h) + Overtime, Bonus & Benefits

About the company

Our client, a well-established and multi-award-winning main dealership specialising in HGV and LCV trucks, is looking for a qualified HGV/LCV Technician to join their busy workshop in Warrington on a permanent, full-time basis.

This is a daytime only role, no shift work with excellent overtime availability, a strong bonus track record and a genuinely stable, long-serving team.

HGV/LCV Technician - The details

• £43,966 per annum (£19.00 per hour)
• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Double time for weekend work, Saturday 12pm through to Monday 8am
• 10% bonus scheme based on objectives — full bonus has been paid out for the last 3-4 years running
• 5 hours per week, Monday-Thursday 08:00-17:30, Friday 08:00-17:00
• 31 days' holiday per year, inclusive of bank holidays
• Permanent position with a stable, close-knit team

HGV/LCV Technician - Requirements

• Around 5 years' experience as a Technician/Mechanic, ideally within a main dealership environment
• NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) in HGV and/or LCV — preferred
• Full UK driving licence essential; HGV licence desirable
• Strong attention to detail, timekeeping and communication skills
• A customer-focused approach, comfortable working solo or as part of a team

HGV/LCV Technician - Responsibilities

• Perform routine servicing, preventative maintenance inspections and MOT preparation on HGVs and commercials, identifying faults and completing accurate inspection records to DVSA standards.
• Carrying out scheduled repair, maintenance, servicing and inspection work to manufacturer and DVSA standards
• Completing MOT preparations
• Diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment and manual checks
• Retrofitting and start-up of accessories and detachable body components
• Completing service records, maintenance reports and job cards
• Ensuring full compliance with health & safety and DVSA regulations
