Job summary

Netbox Recruitment Ltd is partnering with a leading HGV workshop in Kent to recruit an experienced HGV Mechanic/Technician for two sites in Faversham/Sittingbourne. The role is full-time and permanent, offering a competitive salary up to £50,000 plus overtime.

You will service, maintain and repair a range of HGVs, perform diagnostics, MOT prep, and ensure DVSA standards. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferred, UK driving licence required; HGV licence advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic or HGV Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers.
• NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualifications (desirable).
• A full UK driving licence (an HGV licence is advantageous but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults.
• Complete MOT preparation and inspection work.
• Perform preventative maintenance and routine vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all work meets DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Accurately complete workshop paperwork and job records.
• Work independently while contributing to a supportive team environment.

The Role

Working as part of a professional workshop team, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of HGVs and commercial vehicles, ensuring every vehicle leaves the workshop safe, compliant and ready for the road.
