Auto Skills UK is recruiting an HGV Technician for a straight day shift at our Okehampton depot. The role involves inspecting vehicles to O licence standards, performing repairs, and preparing vehicles for servicing and MOTs. You will fault-find using diagnostics and ensure all records are accurately updated.

The position offers a full-time permanent contract with a competitive £40,000–£45,000 annual package, plus benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifikationen

• Hold full industry qualifications and have completed a recognised apprenticeship.
• Detailed knowledge and understanding of truck and trailer maintenance.
• A commercial licence is advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems, maintenance and repair.

My client, a well-established Commercial Vehicle business is actively seeking to employ an HGV Technician on a straight day shift.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough vehicle inspections in line with the 'O' licence requirements
• Carry out any repairs required that have been highlighted on the initial inspection
• General Servicing and MOT preparation
• Fault finding & diagnostics
• Updating all required paperwork / databases

Attributes

• hold full industry qualifications and have served a recognised apprenticeship.
• Have detailed knowledge and understanding of Truck & Trailer Maintenance
• A commercial licence would be a distinct advantage for isn't essential
