Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd is hiring an HGV Technician in Norwich. The role offers an hourly rate of £18 and standard hours from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. You will undertake all aspects of service, maintenance and pre-MOT checks, with a focus on diagnostics and repairing faults as needed.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth HGV knowledge, hold City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle service, and possess prior HGV experience. Class 1 license is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
• City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair.
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician.
• HGV licence Class 1 is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
• Correct running defects to reach full vehicle overhauls.
• Diagnostics and everything in between.
• Perform pre-MOT checks and undertake required repairs.

Job Title: HGV Technician

As an HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic you will be required to:

• Youwill be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service and maintenance.
• Correction of running defects to full vehicle overhauls
• Diagnostics and everything in between
• You will also be required to undertake pre-MOT checks and undertake any repairs that are required

What the successful HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic will need:

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV's and trailers
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but no essential)
• The successful HGV Technician must be a fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair
• Previous experience as an HGV Technician
