Perfect Placement UK Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Technician for a reputable Newark-based commercial dealership. You will service and repair a range of heavy vehicles, diagnose faults, and work closely with parts to source the right components.

A customer-focused, safety-conscious mindset is essential to thrive in this role. The position offers 40-hour weeks with a rotating shift pattern and additional overtime options.

Qualifications

• Recognised heavy vehicle qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent).
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

Responsabilités

• Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and trailers.
• Diagnose faults accurately and perform efficient repairs.
• Collaborate with parts department to source correct components.
• Complete job cards, service records and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
• Keep up-to-date with product knowledge through training courses.
• Adhere to VOSA standards and safety regulations across tasks.

Salary and remuneration

• Competitive hourly rate of £19.00 - £19.50, depending on experience
• Overtime available Monday to Friday

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week with flexible working hours:
• Week 1: 6:00am - 2:00pm
• Week 2: 2:00pm - 10:00pm
• Alternate Saturdays, 6:00am - 12:00pm (paid at overtime rate)

HGV Technician Duties
