Job summary

Travail Employment Group in Grantham is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to join a busy fleet workshop. This permanent role offers a Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm schedule, with overtime opportunities.

You will service and maintain vehicles, prepare for MOTs, perform weekly inspections, and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs, with spare parts ordering and accurate reporting as part of a small professional team.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Technician with in-date C+E licence.
• Experience with Scania/DAF/Mercedes tractors is desirable.
• A Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Vehicle maintenance or IRTEC qualification is preferred.
• Experience in heavy goods vehicle maintenance and repairs.

• 6, 8 and 10 weekly inspections of HGV vehicles and trailers

We are delighted to announce that we are currently recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated HGV Technician to join our client's thriving business. This role, which is based at Grantham, will offer the successful candidate a chance to work with a group of professionals dedicated to provide exceptional quality and service to its customers.

As the successful HGV Technician, you will report to the Compliance Manager and be a key member of the team.

Working in a fast-paced time critical environment, your key accountabilities will include:

• Servicing and maintaining a modern fleet
• MOT Preparation
• 6, 8 and 10 weekly inspection checks of HGV vehicles and trailers
• Mechanical and Electrical repairs on vehicles
• Accurate and timely completion of inspection reports
• Ordering spares as necessary
• Any other tasks associated with the repair and maintenance of the vehicle fleet

Hours are Monday to Friday 45hrs per week 7am - 5pm with the opportunity of overtime

Qualifications for HGV Technician

• Ideally you will be a qualified HGV Technician.
• Hold an in-date C+E driving licence.
• You will have knowledge of working on Scania, DAF and Mercedes tractor units (desirable).
• Training programs can be offered in order to increase your skill levels.
• Licence/Certification: C+E Driving Licence
• A level 3 diploma in Heavy Vehicle maintenance or an Irtec qualification.

As the successful candidate, you will have had experience working within a similar Heavy Goods role, technician, mechanic, workshop technician, lorry mechanic.
