Job summary

Kemp Recruitment Ltd seeks an experienced HGV Technician for a site at London Stansted Airport. The role involves servicing and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems on a fleet of HGVs and trailers in a workshop environment.

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers, and hold (or be working towards) City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair; HGV Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of HGVs and trailers.
• Industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair.
• HGV licence Class 1 desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance including hydraulic, electrical and mechanical service and repair.
• Carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.

About your new company

My client, a well established specialist Commercial Vehicle Maintainer is actively seeking to employ a skilled, experienced and qualified HGV Technician to work in their workshop facility in London Stansted Airport.

About your new HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic role:

You will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance to include Hydraulic, Electrical and Mechanical service and repair.

You will carry out maintenance, repairs and modification work on the fleet of vehicles and trailers and provide technical support from fault analysis through to pre-MOT prep and full vehicle overhauls.

General HGV Technician dutiesThe successful HGV Technician/HGV Mechanic will have:

• You will have an in-depth knowledge of HGV's and trailers.
• Hold an HGV licence Class 1 (desirable but no essential).
• The successful HGV Technician must be a fully skilled with industry recognised qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three) in heavy vehicle service, maintenance and repair.
